At this year’s Filtech filtration show held in October in Wiesbaden, Germany, Sandler AG, makers of nonwovens, presented their wide range of synthetic filter nonwovens to the professional audience. Filter, media classed G3 to E11 for application in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, in automotive filtration or materials for synthetic vacuum cleaner bags were on display. The company says one object of particular interest were nonwovens for climate filtration that achieve high efficiency even after discharge, thus fulfilling the requirements of the EN779:2012. Another focus was on pleat filter media. Andreas Burger of Sandler’s product development team, highlighted the company’s latest developments in this area at the accompanying symposium. Highly processable with all common pleating technologies, synthetic filter nonwovens of Sandler’s sawascreen pleat product series set new standards, according to the company. A longitudinally oriented fiber structure allows for accurate pleating. The polymers used in the manufacturing of these nonwovens render the pleats stable and resistent to mechanical influences, temperature or humidity. “Filtech 2013 again lived up to its reputation of being the most important and most well-attended trade shows for the filtration industry in Europe. Even an increasing number of exhibitors and visitors from Asia do not want to miss out on this event,” says Peter Reich, manager filtration products division, Sandler. summarized. “In recent years the number of visitors has increased along with the scale of the trade fair. Being a nonwovens manufacturer, Filtech brings together exactly the audience we are looking to address. Therefore, this year’s show again was a great success for Sandler.”
